Yes, the Volga has many small rivers flowing into it.
I was in Russia 3 years ago and on the Volga . I saw many people fishing all along the river, but when I asked the Russians what kind of fish they were fishing for the answer I got was "fish." I suspect it was a trout. The water was very polluted and dirty brown. I also saw many large black and white birds that nested along the shore of the Volga. Again, I asked about the bird and never got an answer from the Russians.
Former USSR and more specifically the Ukraine. There are many quarries with Volga Blue or a material similar enough to be marketed as Volga Blue. A few of those quarries are in close proximity of the Ukraine but most are typically in the Zhytomyr region of the Ukraine.
