It depends on the type of pasty (potato and onion, potato and meat, minced beef, steak and onion, chicken and mushroom, cheese and onion, cheese and vegetables, etc), the weight of the pasty, the type of pastry (short crust, puff, rough puff, etc), and the brand or manufacturer. Not all fish and chip shops buy their pasties from the same supplier (and not many fish and chip shops make their own pasties).
