Hamlet

Rosencratz and Guildenstern

Pretty much all the main characters die aside from Horatio and Fortinbras.
Technically 10 characters die in Hamlet. In order they go Yorick (the jester), King Hamlet, Polonius, Ophelia, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern, Gertrude, Laertes, Claudius, then Hamlet.
Every edition of the play has a list of the characters right at the front. It's sometimes called Dramatis Personae. There are more than 27 characters in the play.
However, you will not necessarily see that many characters in every production or film of the play. This is because sometimes directors cut scenes to shorten the overlong script, and minor characters can go by the wayside. Voltimand and Cornelius, Reynaldo, the sailor in 4,6 and the second gravedigger often suffer this fate. In his 1948 film, Laurence Olivier cut the characters of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, which was pretty harsh.
Characters only die in the history and tragedy plays and in Cymbeline, but that is twenty-one plays. In some of these the body count is quite high, like Titus Andronicus where 12 die and only two are left alive, or Hamlet where 8 die and no main characters are left. Other tragedies have fewer: Romeo and Juliet (5), Julius Caesar (6, not counting the deaths of anonymous soldiers), Othello (3), King Lear (7), Timon (1), Antony and Cleopatra (6 and anonymous soldiery). Richard III and Richard II, with 5 bodies, are on the high side for a history. The Henry VI plays have two or three deaths. The later histories (the two parts of Henry IV and Henry V) have one death each.
Polonius. Laertes. Gertrude. Claudius. Hamlet.

In terms of the play characters, Claudius is important because he's the villain, opposite Hamlet as the hero. During the play, when we think of the characters as real people, Claudius is important because he's the King.
The only characters in the play Hamlet who are related to Hamlet are the ghost of his father King Hamlet, his mother Gertrude and his uncle Claudius. None of the rest are related to him.
They are minor characters from the play, Hamlet by William Shakespeare. The two characters are Hamlet's friends that are represented as being rather dumb and more or less play the role of comic relief within the play.
In the exposition of Act 1 Scene 5 in Hamlet, two characters speak: the ghost of King Hamlet and Prince Hamlet. The ghost reveals the circumstances of his death to Hamlet, setting the tone for the rest of the play.

In the play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare, the line "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" is heard by the audience watching the play within the play, but the characters onstage do not hear it. This line reveals the queen's guilt in the murder of King Hamlet.
There are 27 survivors in William Shakespeare's play of Hamlet
The lines in Hamlet varies by how the lines are counted. Hamlet has roughly, 4,042 lines in the play. Hamlet does most of the speaking in the play and accounts for almost 50% of the lines in the play.
If we talk about the ghost ,it was Hamlet's father King Hamlet's ghost and it appears four times throughout the play.
Horatio is one of Hamlet's most trusted friends (possibly his only REAL one). Considering how little Hamlet trusts all the other characters in the play, it can be deduced that Horatio is the only character that Hamlet trusts.

It should come as no surprise that the word "genetic" is not used in Hamlet. The concept of genetics doesn't occur either as the concept wasn't figured out until several hundred years after the play was written. There are two family relationships between characters in the play Hamlet & Gertrude were the parents of Hamlet the prince Polonius is the father of Laertes and Ophelia None of the characters displays any trait which might be genetically linked to their known parents.
