∙ 16y agoon average a woman ovulated during the mid-point of her cycle. The middle between periods. If you have a regular cycle of 28 days you usually ovulate on day 14. So go from your first day of your period 2 months ago and count to the first day of your period last month, then divide by 2. That is around when you ovulated.

The days around ovulation (between 10 to 16 days before your next period) are when you are at your most fertile. So, if you are trying to conceive (get pregnant), this is the best time of the month to have unprotected sex with your partner.
Ovulation happens before your period. Your period signifies that during ovulation the egg had not been fertilized. The timing is different for all girls and can be very complex to calculate but according to the American Pregnancy Association ovulation typically occurs 11-21 days since the last menstrual period, or 12-16 days from when you expect the next menstrual period to start.

A woman's fertile period during her menstrual cycle, on average, lasts about seven days: seven days before ovulation (the release of the egg), the day of ovulation, and the day after ovulation. After this, chances of conception decrease quickly, as the egg has a short life-span of about 24 hours.

If you are asking what it means, it's when the ovaries release eggs to be fertilized by sperm, which results in pregnancy. If you are asking when ovulation occurs, it's half-way through your cycle. For example, if you start your period every 28 days, then 14 days after the first day of your period is when you ovulate. Ovulation can last anywhere from a day to several days, it varies with each woman.
