A chef degree is a degree in Culinary Arts. One may use this to one's advantage to get a job working as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in many types of restaurants. Many of these types of jobs pay very well.
Assist the Head chef in the general running of the kitchen. Cover the Head chef's days off. Give direction to other chefs, come up with ideas for menu, etc.
There's an Executive Chef, Head Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie (Station Chef), and Garde Manger (pantry chef).

yes as a chef you do get vacation time because you get to go all around the world to serve your food to diffrent races and people that have never tasted it and that are not familiar with it.... if you would like to go around the world and cook at the same time then becoming a chef is a good job for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
