On an average, they can lay 3-5, but my own parakeet just laid her 8th egg. I'm planning to empty her cozy nesting cotton, that I had put for her when she started laying. She found it too comfortable and is on a egg-laying spree.
They only lay one egg at a time . Then they keep laying them .
between 6 to 9
Normally they can have up to 3-8 eggs.

If they do manage to lay eggs, they will probably produce about 6-8 eggs. Wait around 12-16 days and if fertile, the eggs will hatch. I cannot tell you how many will survive, because none may, and maybe all will. It's very random and the number may surprise you.
