For English Language GCSE, there are two exams, worth 30% each. In Paper 1, there is response to Media, response to Non-Fiction and Writing to Argue, Persuade or Adviseand 100 minutes. In Paper 2, there is response to Poems from different cultures and Writing to Analyse, Review or Comment.

∙ 11y agoWell in my school we have 10 gcse subjects four of them we can choose (maths, english and science are compulsury) some gcses are worth half a gcse, depending in what set your in say id you were in a top set you are more likely to get that extra gcse as you are capable of doing it. ∙ 15y agoi think it depends on wat school you go to mine u ave 4 core subjects(maths,english,science, psr) then either pick 10 hour courses which takes up 2 options or for 5 hour couses

yes! GCSE exams are designed to test 15 -16 year olds so to get a B at age 11 is very good :-)
No you have to do English at GCSE level as it is a core subject along with Maths and Science. You get 2 GCSE's for English, 1 for language and 1 for literature. But you don't have to do English for your A-Levels after your GCSE's.
Well i am in year 8 and I'm preparing for earlier GCSE's which i will take this year and in my practice exams i got 2 A's and i am certain that it is 72% and A* is 87% for the higher tier but you can not acquire an A in Foundation Gcse

As long as you try your best and get anything from A to C
In America they don't have GCSE's. They have other exams.
Where you learn all of the content over 2 years and take all of the exams in the summer of the final year.
