Nuclear power amounts for a somewhat large portion of our the energy that we use. However, nuclear spills can be devastating. When a nuclear power plant leaks, radioactive material is released into the environment. This material is extremely harmful to humans and can cause many health problems and cancer. Radiation is spread through the air. It can take many years for the harmful material in the environment to go away. One of the most well-known nuclear accidents was the disaster at Chernobyl. Also, the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan recently had a spill.
Because coal is the most abundant fossil fuel in the world, a coal power plant can last for many, many years to come. It is also a cheaper fuel, which makes it more reliable than petroleum or natural gas.
Approximately 33%, depending on the design. That's measuring from reactor thermal power to final electric power.
There are about 121 to 193 fuel bundles loaded into a PWR reactor core. If you are talking about a BWR, that ranges from 368 - 800 fuel assemblies per core.
It depends on the particular design and the design objectives. One plant that I worked at had 137 control rods, each having four bundles, for a total bundle count of 548 assemblies. Each assembly had 62 fuel rods and two water rods in an 8 x 8 matrix.

It varies, according to the design, but one that I am familiar with had 544 bundles, made up into about 130 some odd assemblies each comprising four bundles and one control rod. It was a 2400 MW Thermal BWR. (850 MW Electric). I would imagine that some of the newer or larger plants would have more.As an example, Millstone Unit 3 in Connecticut, a 1227 MWe PWR licensed in 1986, contains 193 fuel assemblies, each containing 264 fuel rods, each 12 feet long.As another example, Nine Mile Point Unit 2 in New York, an 1140 MWe BWR licensed in 1987, contains 764 fuel assemblies. The number of fuel rods per assembly and the length of each fuel rod is not part of the public domain.

A nuclear submarine has a reactor . There is no liquid fuel at all.
104 operating nuclear reactors
The number of jobs that a nuclear power plant provides on the size of the plant. It also depends on whether they enrich their own uranium or not.
Touching a nuclear plant will have no effect on you. You would have to go deep into the plant and bypass many safety precautions in order to be in any danger.
On the next day of Japanese earthquake 2011, the nuclear plant started to explode.
One of the advantage of the Bataan nuclear power plant is that it only occupies a small piece of land. The Bataan nuclear power plant has also offered employment opportunities for many of the locals around.
This will be a hydro plant, or a series of them, not nuclear
