Some part-time plastic surgeons work as little as 5-10 hours per week. Many others work 40-50 hours per week. There is a great range, depending upon the desire of the particular individual practicing their medical specialty.

It all depends. Some things like fillers, do not take overly long time to do for the doctor. Other procedures may be more time consuming, with major surgeries taking several hours. Then there is also follow-up. Usually the doctor spends a part of his or her day meeting new patients. There will be photos taken, discussions of what the person wants to achieve, etc. Other parts of the day will be spent working on patients - i.e. doing the actual procedures. And still more time will be spent following-up, making sure things have gone correctly.

It also depends on whether or not the doctor works in a clinic or out of a hospital. Sometimes they work out of several hospitals, so you would have to add in transportation time for travel.
