If you mean "was there room," the answer is yes. Alaska is still 99% empty. If, however, you mean "was a place set up to receive Jewish refugees" in Alaska, the answer is no. A plan was put forth in 1938 to receive Jewish refugees in Sitka, Alaska, but the plan was blocked and never came to fruition.
Three Alaskan Capitals:When Alaska was established as a Russian colony the first capital was Kodiak and the second was Sitka which was named the colonial capital in 1808. The capital was moved to Juneau in 1906 long after the US purchased Alaska from the Russians.

What's the question? Alaska is a state with many cities in it... Anchorage being the largest, Juneau is it's capitol. Barrow, it's most northernly. Sitka and Ketchikan on the Southeast panhandle. Seward is the southern terminus for the Alaska Railroad, Homer is located on the southwestern tip of the Kenai peninsula. You get the idea.
Kodiak is south of the Arctic Circle, so it has a sunrise and a sunset every day. On the summer solstice the time from sunrise to sunset is 18 hours and 7 minutes.
Ohio gets about 180 days with sunlight. This sun about 50% of days.
Little Marshall Island is located in Thimbleberry Bay south of Sitka, Alaska. It is approximately 1 acre at wiinter high tide. My former husband and I built a small cabin on it in 1972 and lived on it with our children during the summers until 1981. The cabin has a view of Mt. Verstovia and faces the road to the old pulp mill. I have many fond memories of fishing in and near the bay, watching seal haul out on the island and whales spouting in the channel.
