It depends what substance you are dealing with. The International Unit is a unit of measurement for the amount of a substance, based on measured biological activity or effect. Vitamin A is 1/22 of a mg, while Vitamin E is 2/3
This issue is confusing. For Vitamin D, apparently 1mcg (that's 1/1000th of a milligram, or 1 millionth of a gram) is 40 international units. So the 'standard' adult dose of 400 units is actually 10 micrograms of the active component in the formulation. It seems that for different nutrients the number of units may differ (?). Does that make sense? Not to me! Hope this was helpful. because blood values are expressed as ng/mL, then how can know how to equate to IU/
1 IU of alpha-tocopherol is equivalent to 0.67 mg of the natural form or 0.45 mg of the synthetic form. And the answer will be 0,134 mg or 0,90 mg.

The mass that makes up one International unit is dependent on the concentration or potency of the substance and therefore varies from substance to substance depending on what is being measured. This means that we can’t provide a converter to change milligrams to international units.
Milliliters (mL) are volume units. Milligrams (mg) are mass or weight units. Neither can be directly converted into the other.
1 gram = 1 000 milligrams
100 units
Just 1. 1 is in units. Milligrams represents weight. 1 milligram is 0.001 grams and 1,000 micrograms.

There are 10 milligrams in a centigram. Therefore, there will be 2000 milligrams in 200 centigrams.
There are 10 milligrams in a centigram. Therefore 200 centigrams is 2000 milligrams.
The units are incompatible. Milligrams measure mass, millilitres measure volume.

How can I convert from international units (IU) to milligrams or micrograms?Generally speaking, you can't. IU's measure the potency of a drug, not its mass or weight.
Two. There are 1000 milligrams in one gram.
15. This is just the units in front of the mg part. In grams, it is 0.015g and in micrograms, 15,000ug
1 billion.
1 gram = 1 000 milligrams
'milli' is the SI(1) prefix meaning 1/1000, so there are 1000 milligrams in one gram..Note:(1) SI means the International System of Units('SI' is accepted abbreviation for the French term 'Système international d'unités')10001,000mg per gram.1 gram is 1000 milligrams.
