An exercise bike never goes anywhere, so it can't make either a lap or a mile.

The sensible way is to keep track of time and effort instead of counting imaginary distances. Riding a mile at a casual pace would be something like 5-6 minutes, use that instead.

If you're thinking about calorie count, a 5 minute ride is hardly measureable. Maybe 70 calories, 1/6th of a cupcake.
