Unless you are epa certified you shouldn't add any r22 to your air conditioner. And if you are, you should probably already know... It depends on what type of unit it is. Is it a central split unit or a window unit?
what is the charging schedule for a 2 1/2 ton unit 70degree ambient temp what is the suction pressure supposed to be
Graingers is the only place I know of... sells it in a 30lb container. <><><><> R11 and R22 are restricted items- be prepared to show training and equipment for recycling- and be prepared to pay an arm and a leg. If you have an older AC unit, check on getting it changed over to another refrigerant. Sale of R22 isregulated by the EPA as an ozone depleting refrigerant.
Wal-Mart do not have r22 freon, this is a false ad.

Don't do it unless you are certified , plus buying R22 you need a certification. Check your evaporator filters , wash your condenser coil.
