Hobbits generally have six meals a day. "Their faces were as a rule good-natured rather than beautiful, broad, bright-eyed, red-cheeked, with mouths apt to laughter, and to eating and drinking. And laugh they did, and eat, and drink, often and heartily, being fond of simple jests at all times, and of six meals a day (when they could get them). They were hospitable and delighted in parties, and in presents, which they gave away freely and eagerly accepted."--from the prologue to The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Their six meals are typically these: breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, luncheon, tea, and dinner.

The Hobbits feel that Gandalf is a mischief maker. Overall, most of the Hobbits are not very fond of him.

The four hobbits in the fellowship are Frodo, Pippin, Merry, and Sam. Bilbo Baggins was another, and, in the book, Fredegar "Fatty" Bolger along with many other hobbits at the Long-Expected Party and the Scouring of the Shire. Hobbits are a race like people or elves who live in a place called the Shire. There are three different types of hobbits: Harfoots, Stoors, and Fallowhides.

Hobbits are by no means inferiors regarding pride! Prouds like peakcoks are the dwarfs, not the hobbits.
