1gb is not 1000mb and most businesses do not say that I have been doing this for 20+ years the proper answer and most accurate is 1gb=1024mb so 2gb is 1024x2=2048 do the same for others like 8gb = 8192 which was 1024x8.

1mb=1024kb and 1kb=1024b

To the person with 20 plus years experience all I have to say is the first of all you need to learn how to read because in no way did James state that 1000 megabytes is equal to a gigabyte! In fact he started his article with there are "1024 megabytes in a gigabyte" so you're little insert that started with "James I am sorry but 1 gigabyte is not 1000 megabytes" just make sure 20 plus years experience look a little odd and your grammar is crap! Pardon my little insert here but I'm currently mobile talking to my tablet to make this! Now, going to James next part of " most businesses and people tend to say 1000 megabytes instead of 1024 megabytes " is actually correct more than you obviously know! Google 8 gigabytes is equal to how many megabytes and you'll see right there that it shows eight gigabytes is equal to 8000 megabytes and that's the Google online unit converter, so that shows that yes a lot of big business small business everyday people tend to round it down or up or they are just missed informed but in no way is this article written by James incorrect nor is it incorrectly worded! But you on the other hand you might want to review proofread and then offer a not so rude but very valid point on your own damn article insert!
