Using the highest figure, 17,000, that puts the total number of murders in the U.S. at just over 46 per day. It looks like the percentage of those murders committed with firearms is about 68%. However, for reference, it should be noted that only about 25-28% of aggravated assaults involve guns, so the fact that 68% of murders involve guns, doesn't mean that 68% of all crime involves guns.
In the US, about 45 murders are commited a day. So i would say about 60-100 murders in Ohio each year.
