Two Mustangs were used in the movie "Bullitt", both V-8's in Highland Green. One had a 390 ci engine, ther other a base v-8 289. The 289 had a manual transmission. The engines were swaped and a m390 with manual was made. All badges and emblems were removed because only one of the two was a GT. Damaging the cars was not easy, as they only traveled 35 mph in almost all of the scenes, but as anyone knows if they watched the movie, one of these two mustangs was totaled

What do wild western horses get used for?

Wild horses can be used for many disciplines when trained to do so. I know many people who prefer to use mustangs for trail riding because they have very sturdy and hard hooves. But mustangs can be used for most all disciplines regular horses do. An example is mustangs would probably make a good endurance horse because of their hard hooves and stamina.

What are mustangs used for?

They are used for ranch work and riding. Actually, mustangs were not bred. They are feral horses (like wild horses, only they descend from domestic stock from many, many decades ago so they are technically feral). Mustangs are used for just about everything. If you watch videos from extreme Mustang Makeover, you will see horses being used for all types of western and engilsh riding: dressage, reining, Western and English pleasure, ect. However, most mustangs are used for Western.
