There are 150 Pokemon, 1-150 are found in Fire Red and Leaf Green as well as future games.
The Sinnoh region was one of the Pokemon regions. Sinnoh took place in all 3 of these games: Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
In HeartGold and SoulSilver only Johto and Kanto are accessible. You will need to play other Pokemon games to see the other regions.
