For the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, the answer is one, "Dancing Queen" (in 1976). (They also had two number 1s on the Billboard AC chart -- "The Winner Takes it All" and "Fernando" -- and one on the dance chart -- "Super Trouper".)
Had ABBA done more tours in the U.S., the publicity and appearances might have generated more number one songs.
The sum total of ABBA #1 hits worldwide is much larger and difficult to calculate accurately (at least 21 #1 Hits). The group has sold over 375,000,000 records worldwide (the exact number is unknown) having released a total of 8 studio albums, 1 live album and 7 compilation albums (Greatest Hits) albums.

Well it depends what country you are talking about, in America they only had 1 Number 1 hit, which was "Dancing Queen" in 1977. In the UK they had several number one hits, their first Waterloo, Fernando (their biggest selling single), Mamma Mia, S.O.S., Super Trouper etc. If you include all their hits they received it totals 19.
Nine ABBA singles peaked at number one in the UK:
Waterloo (1974)
Mamma Mia (1975)
Fernando (1975)
Dancing Queen (1976)
Knowing Me, Knowing You (1977)
The Name of the Game (1977)
Take a Chance on Me (1978)
The Winner Takes it All (1980)
Super Trouper (1980)
There are some who believe there was a tenth, One of Us, in 1981. It peaked at number three in December, but there was no chart the following week because of the Christmas holidays. The song did reach #1 on some regional charts.
Five of ABBA's eight studio albums also peaked at number one in the UK as did four compilation albums. In fact one of those, ABBA Gold, reached #1 five separate times during the almost 500 weeks it has spent on the British top 100 chart. It is the third best selling album in British history and shares the record for the number of weeks on the chart with Queen's Greatest Hits.

He had 14 solo number ones, 18 if you include the ones with the Jackson 5.
If you're speaking globally, Abba had at least 24 songs that peaked at #1 in one country or more between 1972 and 1982.In terms of chart performance, Abba was most successful in Belgium, where they had 15 number ones. (Ironically, perhaps, one of them was not "Waterloo", which was one of the band's biggest hits. The real battle of Waterloo was fought in Belgium.)Abba's most successful English-language market was Ireland, with 12 #1s. The band had eight #1s in the UK, six in Australia, and four in the US. (Including one #1 on the pop chart, two on the adult chart and one on the dance chart). Abba never peaked higher than #2 on the Canadian pop chart. Here are the 24 Abba songs that reached #1 in at least one country:Dancing QueenChiquititaFernandoThe Winner Takes it AllKnowing Me, Knowing YouWaterlooTake a Chance on MeSuper TrouperThe Name of the GameOne of UsS.O.S.Money, Money, MoneyGimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnight)Mamma MiaI Have a DreamDoes Your Mother KnowI Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I DoSummer Night CityVoulez-VousRing RingHead Over HeelsEagleAs Good As NewHe is Your Brother
