I believe it would be impossible to get an accurate census of the Pagans in the world. Many Pagan people are not open about their religious beliefs out of fear of persecution and will not stand up and be counted. It is also arguable as to what exactly qualifies one as a Pagan.
The new definition of the word Pagan would be any person whom is not of the Islamic, Jewish, or Christian Faith. I would wager these numbers would be quite high in comparison to the fore-mentioned religions. The problem with that is that not all of these people of the "other" religions would classify themselves as "Pagan".
The other issue with the root meaning of the word Pagan which comes from Latin and means "Country Dweller". Thereby, with this interpretation, any person Christian or non living in the country and not the city would be classified as a Pagan. I am quite sure that there would be many Christian folks in The Bible Belt of America with something to say about this.
In my opinion the word "Pagan" really should just be abolished and become part of archaic language as it is no longer of any value to the world; save for in use of historical context.
Millions probably. Some Pagans I know say they aren't Pagan. So, considering so many people lie about being Pagan, I don't think you'll find a 100% true answer.
That's impossible to precisely determine, just like how we can't have an exact number on how many Christians there are in the world.
That's really impossible to determine. It's like asking how many Christians there are. There are a lot of Pagans out there, but a true number cannot really be recorded.
That depends how exactly you define "pagans". For instance, if you mean "non-Christians", there are quite a lot.

There are many Wiccans who Practice Witchcraft. It is like two intersecting sets in a Venn diagram. There are also Pagan Witches, Neo-Pagan Witches, Eclectic Witches, Satanic Witches and many more..
