It would be hard to give an accurate figure for the number of people who visit Makkah each year, as some people live outside Makkah and work there, and some people deliver supplies and pilgrims to Makkah. During the Hajj, alone, 2-3 million people visit Makkah. Millions also visit during Ramadan, at other times of religious significance, and during school holidays.
