According to the US Food and Drug Administration website (refer to the link, below):
"More than 300 people in the United States got sick from drinking raw milk or eating cheese made from raw [(unpasteurized)] milk in 2001, and nearly 200 became ill from these products in 2002, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."
There is no way of knowing how many people drink raw milk and survive with no ill effects, nor do many countries post such numbers, pro or con, and, of course, no records exist prior to the advent of pasteurization.
In the last 10 years there have been NO deaths documented in the published scientific literature that were attributed to drinking fresh unprocessed whole milk that was produced on a dairy in the United States specifically with the intent that it was for human consumption without processing.
