How did phantom of the opera Erik become the monster he is today?

According to the book he was hideously deformed in the face, even his mother couldn't stand the sight of him and had him constantly wear a mask. The 'spite/hatred' he encountered growing up emotionally scarred him. He was very clever in mechanics and somehow found a job with the queen of Iran when he was employed in making torture devices and killing people as a form of entertainment. When the situation in Iran was exposed and destroyed he escaped to Paris and took up residence in the catacombs under the opera house.

When is eid 2010 London?

Eid-ul Fitr 2010 in London will be celebrated most likely on Friday, 10 September 2010 subject to sighting of the New Moon. Meaning, if the New Moon is not sighted, Eid will be celebrated on 10 September 2010. If the New Moon is sighted, Eid will be the day after the sighting of the New Moon. Sighting of the New Moon should take place today, if I am not mistaken. ~ shah ~

How did stock exchanges develop in Amsterdam?

In Amsterdam there came to be the trading in stocks and company shares. This was not public or better said, shares of government loans, instead it consisted in trading the shares of large companies. This was to a large part based on speculation and not for investment as it's known today. However, this was the beginning of this. By the end of the 17th century the techniques of speculation began to develop into many forms of trading that is seen today. In London there was also an exchange, however, it was not until after 1670 that modern types of trading began. And, it was not widespread nor given a large amount of importance. Not long, however, did trading "stocks" develop rapidly. Amsterdam and London predominated over smaller exchanges that developed in Europe.

Why is the phantom of the opera better than twilight?

Phantom is a very old story. It first was written in 1910 by Gaston Leroux which was a novel. The first movie was with Lon Chaney 1925 which Leroux was able to see it before he died in 1927. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera was written for stage 1986 his music that is heard today. Comparing it to Twilight is like trying to compare Red Riding Hood to Shakespeare. Phantom deals with undying love and obsession and how man responds to not being able to get what he wants. The obsession turns him into a monster ( that is how he views himself more than what he really is in life). Twilight is just a new take on an old tale of vampires. There is a bit of obsession to it, but it is on a level of teen first love with a bit of special effects. They can not be compared.
