You may want to go to www.akc.org, the American Kennel Club, to see how many American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers are registered (as American Pit Bull is not the correct name). Or you could check out different pit bull breed association websites. Remember these sites can only provide you with stats on REGISTERED dogs. ___________________________________________________________________________________
The "pit bull" has many enemies and detractors. From the media, to lawmakers, to the guy next door, many people have strong emotions when it comes to the "pit bull.." Pit bull is NOT a breed. It is a slang term that typically refers to one of 3 breeds. The American Pit Bull Terrier, The American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Yes they have their babies and you usually own them common sense dur
Jewelry A pit bull loves the people it serves..
Depending on why you're on parole in the first place, maybe you shouldn't own a dog at all........Especially not a Pit Bull, people like you only make them look bad.
Probably.
The American Pit Bull Terrier is the only breed that can be correctly called a "pit bull", but other breeds are commonly mistaken for a pit. 20+ breeds are often mistaken as a pit bull. This is why so many people get biten by "pit bulls" per year; because the dog was mistakenly called a pit because of it's looks, not because of it's actual breed. See if you can find the American Pit Bull Terrier; http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/findpit.html
yes
Almost a quarter of people in the US have pit bulls!
The Swiss
No he doesn't
the pit-bull originally came from turkey but was bread many times to take the typical pit-bull terrier form
This is what many different campaigns in the UK are currently trying to do. For a start, raise and own well-behaved and non-aggressive Pit Bull's and be a responsible owner. It is very hard to stop other Pit Bull owners being irresponsible, but lead a good example. This will show people that not all Pit Bull's are aggressive, and not all Pit Bull's have irresponsible owners. Besides this, you could join a campaign to end breed stereotyping. Blame the deed, not the Breed!
