There was no quarter-final stage of the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
The top 25 players and ties from the final qualifying stage.
Strictly speaking there wasn't a final in the 1950 tournament, but a final group stage. Uruguay beat Brazil in the last game to clinch the trophy.
In the 2006 world cup England reached the quarter final.
If for some reason you really want to go to a certain stage you will have to hope that other players choose it also and not favor another otherwise you will not go to that stage. It works like this, however many players choose a stage that stage will be selected the more players the better meaning if most ppl choose final destination and not 75m for example you will go to final destination and not 75m.

Zinedine Zidane was named as one of the players of the tournament in France '98. He played his usual international position for France in midfield, wearing the number 10 shirt. Early in the tournament Zidane was awarded a red card and a two match ban in the group stage against Saudi Arabia. He then went on to redeem himself, scoring twice in the cup final vs Brazil and helping France win the tournament.
The kind of scores one needs to post in order to make it through the qualifying tournaments of the PGA/Nationwide Tour are usually par or better for the the final stage alone of qualifying tournament. There are 3 stages to get through in order to qualify for either one of the tours though (usually beginning within 2 months of the final stage). You have to qualify in the first to get to the second, and the second to get to the final. They usually take the top some odd amount of players in each. The final stage determines whether you'll be in the PGA, Nationwide, or if you have to continue with mini tours. The top 30 go to the PGA. The next 50 are usually exempt for the next year on the Nationwide. These cuts are at the discretion of the PGA though and may change from year to year. The final stage for 2004 consisted of about 156 players...to give an idea of the field. There are more (even better) details on getting into the qualifying tournament for the PGA/Nationwide tour, so you may want to check out http://www.pgatour.com/story/7384196 where you should be able to download an application (PDF) to look over from 2004 (it gives plenty of info on the qualifying). Best of luck!
