How tall is a man of 3 ft ? Weight usually is measured in Newtons (N). On our lovely planet earth, 1kg weights between 9,83219 N (at the poles) and 9,78033 N (at the equator). Thus, the total mass of 160kg is already the total mass, but it's (earth) weight is ca. 1600N. A balance usually already calculates the mass from the force (in N), because it's a constant proportion for a particular location.

W = weight = ( m in kg ) ( g in m/s^2 )

W = ( 160 kg ) ( 9.807 m/s^2 ) = 1569 N <-----[ Answer ]-----

W = ( 1569 N ) ( 1 lbf / 4.448 N ) = 353 lbf <---[ Answer ]----

As comparisons, 160 kg or 352.74 pounds is ironically the same amount of weight that Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Eric Olmstead, a 22-year-old powerlifting champion lifted at the 2009 World Powerlifting Federation (WPF) Championships in Las Vegas. A body weight of 352.74 pounds for a human being would qualify the person to be on any weight loss reality TV program as medically "morbidly obese". The lower end weight-range for an adult male grizzly bear or polar bear is about 350 pounds, which is 100+ pounds less than the weight of an average adult male orangutan (about 250 pounds or less). The weight 352.74 pounds is about what 40.30 gallons of water would weigh (US weight in pounds; 1 gal weighs about 8.34 pounds).

The weight of 160kg would be 160 x g where g is the acceleration the planet (in our case the earth) exerts on it. On the surface of the moon the value of g is a fraction of what it is on earth and so the weight of 160kg on the moon would be a fraction of what it is on earth. However, the mass will me 160kg where the body is on earth, moon, or any other planet. Zero gravity on earth can be simulated in planes making bodies seem weightless.

352.74 lbs. The actual conversion of 1 kilogram is equal to 2.204622622 pounds. For everyday use, rounding to 2.2 should be enough. One pound is 0.45359237 kilogram, or 0.45 kg for everyday use.
