What is the price of a bushel of rice today
Approximately 57lbs. I used extra long grain enriched white rice from my cabinet. I get 57.25 lbs +/- 10% for margin of error. Here is how I got 57.25: I tare-weighed only 4 cups of rice in a measuring cup on my electronic scale: 1lb+(12+5/8)oz = 28.625oz. So that's 2 pints or 1 quart of rice. Now multiply by 8 since 8quarts/peck. Now multiply by 4 since 4pecks/bushel. So 28.625*8*4=916oz. Divide by 16oz/lb=57.25lbs, QED.
According to the USDA, 3.04 million acres of rice were harvested in the 2000-01 season, with a yield of 6,281 pounds per acre
I think there's a cream for that....
Rice Shortages
1,305,000 grains per bushel Figure comes from 45 pounds of rice per bushel: 29,000 grains of rice per pound This only works with long grain rice
8 pounds
Paddy rice, or rough rice, is what is traded in the commodities market. The official U.S. weight measure for a bushel of paddy rice is 45 lb. Paddy rice contains by weight: 22% husk and trash, 10% bran, 68% rice. For the 1.4 denser white or polished or milled rice, one bushel weighs 63 lb.
2 pounds of rice = 907.2 grams of rice.
I went around the block on this and found many answers. Here is the final one. 1 poind of rice equals 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice. 1 cup of rice equals 3 cups of cooked rice. If we want to find how many cups of cooked rice in 10 pounds we do some math. If 1 pound equals 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice then 10 pounds equals 25 cups of uncooked rice. If 1 cup of rice equals 3 cups of cooked rice then 25 cups of uncooked rice equals 75 cups of cooked rice.
A grain of rice weighs roughly 0.0725 ounces.

1 bushel of rough rice = 45 lbs. Rough rice is rice that has been harvested, but not milled.
More than a bushel, less than a peck
2.23 pounds of rice are present in 155320 grains of rice.
Rice comes in by the bushel, not by the gallon. Gallon is a fluid volume measurement, not a means to measure solid particles like grains of rice. And it does depend on the size of the tractor trailer or b-train, as well as the general weight of the rice in terms of bushel size.
Rice production is measured by the hundredweight (cwt). One cwt equals 100 pounds.
