It is sometimes called the Columbian Exchange. But most of the items went from the Old World to the New. The Old World sent cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and horses. They also sent rye, wheat and barley. The New world sent corn. The Old World sent many diseases that the New had never seen before and those killed hundreds of thousands. The worst was Small Pox. The only disease that came from the New world was syphilis. Because of the diseases the Old World sent, there were not many natives left to fight for their land.
