on average 4-7
It depends on how many eggs the female ovulated and how many eggs were actually fertilized. How is the health of the female dog? The number of pups produced also depends on the vitality of the male dog's sperm. So there are many factors that go into how many pups are in the litter. An average litter is around 4-8 but could be anywhere from 1 to 14.
There's no set amount of puppies a pitbull can have. It could be anywhere from 1 puppy to 12. It all depends on the size of the female, her fertility, the studs fertility, and when they were bred. I even heard of people having 16 puppies in one litter.
The average Pit Bull will have a litter of between 5 and 10 puppies, no matter what the colour of the parents was. Colour does not affect litter size and Pit Bull Terriers do usually have quite large litters. This is not always true as first time mums tend to have smaller litters.
We used to breed pit bulls and sell them....(NOT for fighting!!!) And Princess, (the alpha femal) once had a litter of 9 puppies.... but thats just from my experience....
The average pit bull litter is usually 5 to 10, but there are exceptions, my Pits first and only litter had 13 puppies of all assorted colors!!

There is no collective noun specific to pit bulls. The collective nouns for dogs are a pack or a kennel; and a litter of puppies. These collective nouns are easily transferable to pit bulls; a pack of pit bulls, a kennel of pit bulls, a litter of pit bulls.
