The amount of times your dog has mated does not determine how many pups it will have. A dog could have been mated three and get 5 pups and the same breed dog mated only once and get about 8. Geting your dog mated a second time just ensures that she will be more likely to get pregnant.
It can differ to 1 baby to 10 it just depends on the dog. I have had a dog have one baby before, but i have had friend who had a total of ten puppies and also don't be alarmed if ones not breathing. If any animal has a big litter there is most likely going to be a baby born dead:(. Rarley is there a big litter where all survive.
I hope this information helps you.
Its very unusual to have just one puppy even if it happens just one time the chances are that you`ll have more than one
12 puppies
It depends on the size of the litters they have. A female can be bred twice a year, or about every six months. Many breeds have litters of around six puppies but there are times where they will have a litter with as many as 12 or 15 puppies which could mean as many as 30 puppies in one year! Depending on the breed and health of the dog it varies, but the average is 9.
depending on who she mates with she can have 2-5 pups the first time.

Chihuahua's have an average litter size of between only 1 and 3 puppies, whilst Pomeranian's have an average litter size of between 2 and 4 puppies. This means that you could expect a Chihuahua cross Pomeranian to have around 2 or 3 puppies.

It is usually dependant on the female, how many eggs she releases during the cycle when the male mates with her. The number of puppies also varies with the mother's age and health, the father's sperm count, the timing of the breeding, and many other factors. Most dog breeding statistics are not done from the males reproductive abilities because he never truly runs out of the ability to impregnate a female due to age, were females will eventualy stop reproduction.
No, the puppies will not be dumb but if they are in a bad environment it could be possible. I hope this helped!
