Well to join the army you need to do a fitness test, In the fitness test it has the following exercises 44 minimum push ups in 2 mins and 50 minimum sit ups in 2mins then a 1.5mile run under 12mins.
I went on the army insight coarse today and I would class my self as quite fit, I managed 39 push ups and 53 sit ups. I was third in the class on push ups and 1st with the sit ups, Also I came 5th on the run with a time of 10mins and 12 seconds.
Around 25-40 push ups in 2mins is good
Around 35-50 sit ups in 2mins is good
a fifteen year old should be able to do atleast 110 sit ups in two minutes.

Well I just started doing 30 or so sit ups a day so yeah.
I'd say about 40 to 50 sit ups.
The proper way to exercise is to do several repetitions at once, then rest that set of muscles and do something else. Do 10 sit-ups, then do something else for 10 times, then do 10 more sit-ups and so on until you start feeling tired.
Any where between 25-100.
