The answers is unknown but 20,351 were built and 50 Seafire's (carrier going Spitfire's) and Spitfires are still flying and 20 undergoing restoration.

It's virtually impossible to answer that exactly without a huge amount of research. However in mid -September Spitfires were being delivered at the rate of about 4-5 a day. They were by then being shot down about 1-2 a day. There were 20 operational Spitfire squadrons then each having 12-16 aircraft, so this gives an estimated figure of between 280 - 320 Spitfires at the end of Battle of Britain.

it is not fully known whos planes he shot down but in total he shot down 90 + planes.
In the UK there are just over 20 flying and worldwide approaching 40 (according to UK's Channel 4 TV chat forum)
The Royal Air Force, Spitfires and Hurricanes, and Radar. Radar spotted the German airplanes coming and the Spitfires and Hurricanes shot them down. If it were not for Radar, Spitfires and Hurricanes, the Germans would have tried to invade England. Thank goodness for Radar, Spitfires, Hurricanes and Prime Minister Winston Churchill.

There were thousands of airmen of both sides shot down in Europe in WW2.
World War 2 had jets and they shot each other down.
On 16th October 1939, three Spitfires from 603 Sqn RAF shot down a German recconaisance aircraft over Rosyth Royal Navy base in Scotland. This was the first air combat in WW2
