Half strip staplers hold half as many staples as a full strip stapler.
They don't. The "standard" stapler is the Swingline 747, which is designed to hold a full strip of staples. Smaller staplers like they sell for home use are shorter than the 747, so you have to break the strips of staples to get them in.
First open the top of the stapler then put the staples in the top. Finally shut the stapler.
You load the staples from the back of the stapler, there is a thumb depression on the back of it. Look and you will see it.
to hold the staples in place so they can be forced through the paper without flying around everywhere
To remove staples
Hmmm...something interesting about the stapler. One thing that is interesting is that if you flip the top part of the stapler up, and you squeeze it, staples shoot out. You can shoot people with staples! (P.S. It won't hurt unless you put the stapler right to their skin and squeeze.)
I usually put the staples in the stapler point down.
Pull the spring loaded band out by the 2 looped ears and then remove the saddle that pushes the staples. Slide the staples in and place the saddle back inot the slide. Hook the band over the saddle and your are good to go.
