How many rounds of betting are there in Texas Hold'em?

The limit is primarily decided by the practicalities of sitting people around a table, or having to wait too long to play a hand. A normal full ring game has nine people playing, though occasionally you will hear of 10, or even 11 people games.

In the strictest sense the maximum would be decided by the number of cards. Since each player only gets two cards and the board will have only five, plus three mucked cards, you could in theory have up to 22 players. I don't think anybody would want to play at that table however.

Five-card draw and Five-card stud are two entirely different Poker games.

In Five-card draw the players are dealt five cards, face down, of which they can the trade in up to four cards, sometimes three, depending on the house rules. None of the cards are exposed until the show down. There are three rounds of betting, the ante, after the cards are dealt, and the final round after the "draw".

In Five-card stud the cards are dealt in a prearranged sequence, normally one face down and one face up. If there is an ante, the betting rounds begin there otherwise the betting rounds begin after the first two cards are dealt. The remainder of the cards are then dealt one at a time face up with bets placed between rounds. If there is an ante, there are five rounds of betting. If there is no ante, there are four rounds of betting.

Depending on the variant you are playing you can make as many bets as you want, as long as the rules are followed.

A player can always bet each time a new card is dealt. A player can then decide to bet more (raise) and so on.

A player is free to raise after any bet from another player unless the CAP has been reached or the limit in limit games is reached for that round of betting.

For example in a normal game of Texas Hold'Em, assuming nobody re-raises you can bet Preflop, Post Flop, on the turn and after the river.
