It depends on what you mean by subjects. Do you mean subjects as in English, psychology, history, etc., or do who mean subject matter particular to a field of study? Most students declare a primary program of study (major), and a minor program to enhance the primary program. Some (but relatively few) will take a double major. Still, you should be careful not to overload yourself. Start slow and build from there after you have made the transition into higher education. In this way you can better understand what will be expected in terms of study habits, intensity and time required, etc. Many students who take on too much in the beginning put themselves under undo physical and emotional stress and wind up either dropping out or failing out.
