when feeding a snake it usually depends on its size. Baby snakes about a foot or so long require about 2 baby mice once every week. Larger snake could eat anywhere from a small rabbit to a rat i beleave 1 only but as i said that depends on its size im not too sure. you can always ask your local pet store to verify this

It really depends on the age of the snake !... A very young Burmese Python (less than six months old) will need feeding a once a week with one mouse. From six months to a year, that can be increased to two adult mice or one small rat - at intervals of 10 days. From 1-2 years old, increase the interval between feeds, and the size of the meal gradually until it's being fed a large rat every 14 days. At age 3-5 years, you can either increase the number of large rats, or 'graduate' onto rabbits and increase the time interval to one feed every two months. At 5 years an over, two large rabbits fed in one 'sitting' every three months is ample food. I've used this method myself ever since I started keeping Burmese Pythons - and have never had a 'wasted' meal !

Once every 5 days when they are young, But after they are 6 months to a year feed them only once a week. Once they reach 3-4 years of age. Feed them once every 10 days or so.

Is a reticulated python and burmese python the same?

No a reticulated python and a Burmese python are different snakes. Both are found close together in nature (S.E. Asia), though. The Burmese doesn't quite reach the length of a reticulated python; however a Burmese python is a much heavier snake like the Anaconda. The Burmese's weight and girth it typically bigger than a reticulated python; however the reticulated python is the longest documented snake in existence. Both are absolutely beautiful animals, though. The reticulated python tends to be more aggressive a snake than the Burmese, however. But with regular handling from a young age, both can become very "handle-able". By nature, however, the Burmese is generally a more docile animal, especially if handled from an early age.
