I'm sure the human body, with its capacity to do many strange things is capable of stopping your flow and then restarting it again a day or two later, but it has absolutely no reason to have two separate flows in the same month. This means that if you have had one regular, normal period this month, then something else is causing this second flow. I'm not even you and I am alarmed by this, and if I were you I would be at the doctor's office on Monday with or without an appointment.

Not necessarily. You could get your period without having ovulated because the body starts to build up the endometrial layer before ovulation occurs, meaning it still has to shed the layer at some point.

once usually in the middle of her menstrual cycle. the start of the menstrual cycle is the day menstrual bleeding begins and the length of the menstrual cycle is the day the next lot of bleeding begins , which is usually about 28 days long. ovulation occurs on the 14th day.

Not quite. A women will only ovulate during a single 24 hour period during her menstrual cycle, she may ovulate multiple times over that 24 hours in that both ovaries may release eggs, but she will not ovulate outside that 24 hour period. A woman cannot ovulate on two different times during her menstrual cycle.
