The Bible mentions this word more than 20 times in KJV. One example is mentioned at Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)

The Bible also mention how one should talk to one another. Ephesians 4:9 gives this advise, “Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers.”​ King Solomon said at Proverbs 12:18: “There exists the one speaking thoughtlessly as with the stabs of a sword, but the tongue of the wise ones is a healing.” (New World Translation)
