Car was 5 yrs only when it first went. Was not near my mechanic on the other side of the state and went to Tire Kindgdom . BIG mistake just had to have it replace again less than 12,000 but 15 months old. Also out for the cost of 2 batteries, what a mess. The car is 8 years old has 72,000 miles and has had 3 alternators..... Love my Camry V6 so what's a girl to do.
Any suggestions?
An alternator in a Toyota Camry typically lasts between 80,000 to 150,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and maintenance. Factors such as extreme temperatures, heavy electrical loads, and lack of regular maintenance can affect its lifespan. Regular inspections can help identify issues early and prolong its functionality.
Car batteries last four to five years on average.
Toyota Camry
That's a good car but its longevity depends on the care and maintenance the car has received during its lifetime.
The last year the Toyota Camry was produced with a manual transmission was 2012. After that model year, the Camry transitioned to automatic transmissions as the standard offering, reflecting a broader trend in the automotive industry toward automatic gearboxes.
Depending on quality it can last 5 years and more, but it's not guaranteed because the life span depends on in which conditions you usually drive.
There is no set answer as they can last 7 years and then again it may only last 1 year. The average is around 4 years. That is assuming the battery has never been run flat which will shorten it's life.
Average life is from 3-5 years. If you run the battery down you shorten it's life.
The best and most reliable used cars are generally Toyota's and Honda's. Both cars are Japanese models and tend to last as long as 15 years if well maintained.
The #1 selling car in America is the Model T. The #1 selling car in the world is the Toyota Corolla. The #1 selling car for the last few years in America is the Toyota Camry. -I stink-
Most altenators I have dealt with normally last 10 years+ unless there is something wrong with the charging system (battery bad, belts, etc) that causes it to work harder
Cat and ECU are covered under the 8 years/80,000 miles federal emissions warranty.
