How much a quart of honey weigh?

3 pounds, based on a quart jar of raw honey I bought, labeled 48oz/1.36kg by weight. A pint of water (16fl oz) weighs a pound (that's why a US pint is the volume that it is, it's a pound of water. Therefore a quart of water weighs 2lbs.

However honey weighs a lot more than water. I've just weighed some honey and done a calculation and I say a pint of honey weights 1lb 6oz or 22oz. So a quart should weigh 2lb 12oz or 44oz.

I suspect the jar mentioned above was weighed and therefore includes the weight of the jar, not the net weight of the honey.

The water content of honey varies a little between about 16% and 18%, but I doubt that's enough to register on domestic scales.
