About 6 liters
It's due to the car over heating and it's usually because of cheap anti freeze or too much water in the mixture. (Probably a clogged radiator or a bad thermostat, too much water or "cheap anti-freeze" has nothing to do with it. They don't make "cheap" anti freeze. Anti-freeze is just that... anti-freeze!)
it is recommended that you add as much of a one gallon container of anti freeze as your radiater will hold .after that use plain water to finish filling it.
A little more information please ( size of engine , with or without air conditioning ) on your 1997 Ford Ranger
Dont use to much Anti freeze - (make sure ratio of water to Anti freeze are in balance) use gloves when using anti freeze Dont drink it :) Hope this helps
50% water (distilled water is better) and 50% antifreeze
60% water and 40% anti-freeze works better than, 50/50, unless it freezes often where you live.
What is total capacity of your car's cooling system? How much fluid does the radiator hold?Use 50 percent high quality anti-freeze and 50 percent tap water. Is the radiator new or re-cored? Ask the manufacturer what they recommend for anti-freeze.Aluminum radiators may require a special anti-freeze.Good Luck!
Undiluted antifreeze weighs about 9.33 pounds per gallon.
Some anti-freezes can prevent freezing up to -125° Fahrenheit. However, the average temperature is much lower.
The 2002 Chrysler Town and Country minivan has a cooling system anti-freeze capacity of five gallons. You can mix the anti-freeze and water at a 50-50 ratio.
It should be 50% WATER, 50% ANTI-FREEZE, which should put your protection at 40 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. If you add to much anti-freeze, you may have problems with boil over later in the summer.
i usually put 2 litres of anti freeze an fill rest with water
