2.50 a carton--they were approximately 25 cents a pack back then. My hubby was 13 then and would sneak off and buy a pack at a little mom and pop store that was NOT close to his house. Had he gone to the one by his house--the owner would have told his dad.

∙ 9y agoThe answer "it would of cost 5 to 10 cents back in 1955" is so untrue it makes my head spin. The cost of a pack of cigarettes was $ .25 in 1955 which translates to $2.50 per carton. The person who answered this question is either too young to remember or simply answered to see his words put in print!
