However, there may be an unintentional charge on an old mobile phone plan due to a loophole. Many mobile providers have fixed this loophole, but not all of them. If they haven't or of you are using an old plan, it could cost you between 15p and 25p to call an 0800 number on your mobile.
To be on the safe side if you want to avoid charges, call the 0800 number on a landline, where it will definitely be free. You can ask your mobile provider to ensure 0800 numbers are free for you to call from mobile, as they should be.
