The actual product of fair trade ispractically the same as any other product but you know that fair trade products are made/harvested by workers that are paid justly for there work. such as, some companies get there food from workers in poor countries that are paid ridiculous low salary's ( think $0.50 a hour) and worked about 12-14 hours a day. so when you buy Fair Trade you aren't buying vastly different foods you just know that the workers are being treated fairly.

Do it yourself moving. Rent a cargo box, truck, or ask some people around you. A u-haul is a smart way for example. If theres just too much get a decent company and if the workers accept tip or payed by the hour ask them to work slow, but effectively. This way they get payed more, but nothing bad would happen as often.
