How much money does a Macy's employee earn?

they don't make much. employees make about 10 an hour. managers make about 18 an hour. or at salary managers make about 32-40k a year. not the best pay for what they do. Plus it is retail

I know that our local store starts people out at $7.25 or less an hour. I was really suprised to hear this. I know that other smaller department stores pay $2 more an hour. Granted Macy's has been around for ever and have a great reputation, I just really thought that their employees made more. You do get a 20% discount except in fragrances and fine jewelry there you get a 10% discount. I think that it would be great for a college student but as for a mother or someone with bills, I do not know how they could manage.

Actually it is 20% off in jewelry and fragrances as well, but may be 10-15% of in home and electronics.
