There are special kinds of hamster and small animal shampoo/conditioner you can usually find at pet stores. I found mine at PetSmart for a pretty reasonable price. Just for some extra information, try to use warm water (not too hot, but not cold), and also as soon as you are done washing the hamster, put it in a warm towel to dry. Also, if you put a blow dryer on a LOW, COOL setting, you might be able to speed up the drying process by blowing air on the hamster through the towel. Hope I could help!
You don't. It is very aware of it's hygene and will groom itself. If you wash it, it might die because the natural oils on its body will be washed away. And that is the good thing about hamsters. ;) P.S. If you have a long haired hamster, you will need to have a hamster brush to groom it. That's why if you are a first-timer, you shouldn't purchase a long-haired one for the sake of less work (XD) Actually, what u need to do is buy special spray stuff (cant remember name :-) and use the spray on the hamster, and the cage. Here is a note from my hamster: (put her on keyboard) hizrhpprrrh0k\\affbruyntnt9bwggg,,E^9zykd66-dhenih f6p. Give it up to hammy the female hamster! PS. Visit lakewoodchristiangift center.com :-)
you don't clean them they clean themselves. After you carry one they consider themselves dirty so they lick their paws and clean their faces.
A very mild dish soap and rince well dry with a clean towel.
you need to kleen out a hamsters cage about once a week or more if necessery
i would clean it every week as not cleaning it out often may cause infections.
yes it is natural for hamsters to do this as it keeps them ocupied.
if youhave a big cage you can put up to 4 or 5 hamsters. with a small cage you can have 1 to 3 hamstersI would put 4 in a big cage, and 2 in a small cage.
Well my cat looks in my hamsters cage but does nothing .

water. cleaning supplies can be deadly to the birds.
If you clean the hamster's cage before the babies are old enough, the mother might kill her babies.
Yes, they are clean but only if the owner helps clean their cage and the hamster. If they don't clean the hamster and it's cage, the hamster will become dirty.
i would clean it every week as not cleaning it out often may cause infections.
it depends on the size of the cage.
Well, hamsters really should not be put in a cage with other hamsters as they fight with each other
i believe that sylvester stalone was the lion cage cleaner.
if there is 1 hamster in the cage once a week should do the trick if there are 2-4 try cleaning it 2 or 3 times a week this is coming from a hamster breeder and owner
Hamsters can live in 10 gallon aquariums (or terrariums). They can live in a plastic cage or a cage with metal bars too. You can also make your own cage, but you must know how. Hamsters also live in the wild in certain parts of the world.
