Actually, I have yet to find a Home Depot or a Home Depot employee making minimum wage, I have worked there for three years and never have I made minimum wage and I've met plenty of employees and have never heard of one making minimum wage, home depot tends start pretty well for a retail job.

Whatever you do....don't work for this place. They got caught stealing money out of my paycheck and promised to give me the money back several times. Monday I have to file theft charges on the CEO Frank Blake because they won't send a check. I've been promised a check for six months now...........I'm done playing with Home Depot. There is no certain pay rate, they base it though on what your previous pay rate was.

Even at the same store, salaries vary by geographic location. Pay depends on the cost of living in an area, and the number of potential employees available. here in the Seattle area, the minimum wage is $8.55, and in this poor economy with a lot of people out of work, I doubt the Depot would start a new employee at much more than that for an entry level position. All businesses have various jobs, some requiring more education and/or experience than others, so your question cannot really be answered unless you specify
the job. A store manager, or business manager, or buyer, for example, will get a lot more than a cashier or yard laborer.
