Assistant store managers get around $50k and work 15 hour days. They can double that with bonuses every quarter. Store Managers make $70k+ and can double that with bonuses, most make a 7-5 schedule for themselves but when needed they work longer. (not all the time)
Rumor has it that $26 hour is the maximum I know someone who makes $22, but Remember this!!! When you get hired is the only time you can fight for your pay. Once your hired you get one mandatory yearly "cost of living increase for about $.30, unless you are amazing and you get $.75. until you get promoted you will be stuck and ex: If you get hired on for $11hr. and You fight for the DH position and somehow get $4 more an hour which is very difficult now you are at $15, but if you fought wen you were hired for $14hr. and now its your promotion for DH for the 4 now its $18.
I was hired as a master electrical specialist at $26.00 I got promoted to DH and got an additional .26 cents. I am the highest paid DH in my district. I took the promotion only for job security. I'm not confident that the Master Spec. program is going to be around much longer, but they cap out at $32.oo, A DH is capped around 20.oo an hour, they can make certain exceptions obviously.

If a person wants to become the store manager for Home Depot, they should have prior experience as a manager in a large scale business. They should be interested in customer service and meeting sales goals.
