The rate of pay depends on rank, time in service, and special pay for certain circumstances.
As of 2017 the lowest rank (Private, E-1) pay is set at $1599.90 per month regardless of time in service. Of course you wouldn't expect them to retain an E-1 for very long without advancing them so anything past the first year or so is meaningless anyway. The top level of Enlisted (Sargent Major or Master Gunnery Sergent, E-9) gets $5,052.60 to $7,844.60 per month.
Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps basic pay is $8,165.10.
Warrant officers (Warrant officer1, W1 - Chief Warrant Officer, W5) can get between $2,966.40 and $9,730.80 depending on rank and time in service.
Among the officers, they start at $3,034.80 (freshly minted 2nd Lieutenant, O-1) up to $15,583.20 for a General (O-10).
They may receive additional pay in the form of housing allowances, combat pay, extra hazard pay, etc.
Base pay is determined by time in service (the total years in the USMC) and pay grade (based on rank).
The current military pay scale can be found in the link below. Click the link for January 1, 2011 (or later if available).
