The 2013 AIChE Salary Survey showed that Chemical Engineers have an average starting salary of $67,600/yr (the third highest for any profession) and a median salary for all experience levels of $120,000/yr (USD). Several factors make a difference in these estimates such as geographic region within the U.S., highest degree level earned, gender, age, experience, number of employers, and time with present employer.
